Case Example

We were contacted by new MD of a company A, a large manufacturing company2 months after the old MD had left to join company B. They suspected him of taking client data with him when he left, as customers were leaving company A and joining company B.

The old MD had been allowed to keep his laptop whilst on leave prior to resigning, then the laptop had been given to the new MD and had been in daily use for 2 months.

By careful reconstruction of deleted documents and file fragments from slack space plus determining a work-flow timeline, we were able to recover a number of compelling pieces of evidence.

The best was the recovery of a damaged PST file which we repaired using LoPe, allowing us to recover much email traffic with attached company confidential documents that were being sent to the MDs home email account!
